As global cocoa prices hit new record highs… price increases are unfortunately inevitable
Over the past 12 months the cost of the key ingredient for producing chocolate has roughly doubled. Dry weather conditions due to El Nino in Ghana and the Ivory Coast has reduced harvests for the worlds two biggest producers of cocoa beans
Soaring prices are already being imposed on consumers, and no doubt some of our favourite chocolate brands will be more expensive over the coming months.
At KSV it is always our aim to keep our prices as low as possible. However, with the expected level of increases likely to be imposed by manufacturers, we will have no choice but to pass these on to our customers.
It may be good practice to stock up a little on your choice of chocolate product, to help keep your costs down, and avoid disappointment if there are any supply issues!
